He was rushed to hospital and where he received life-saving treatment and later underwent regular physiotherapy.

The stroke had a devastating impact on Pieter. Says Pieter: “Coming to terms with the fact that I might never play the guitar or paint again was terrifying. But in some respects, my stroke was the end of one life and the beginning of another.
