Quickbooks Add Item Type

Question: Is there any way to calculate on a QuickBooks invoice? I need to have a per item price column less an allowance column then have a total for that line. Is there any way to do this? I am using QuickBooks Pro 2010. Answer: As far as I know there’s no way to do this with columns, but you can do this with rows using Subtotal items. If you haven’t already, create a Subtotal item Go to Lists Items List, select the Items button and select New Select Subtotal in the Type dropdown box If you haven’t already, create a Discount item for your allowance Go to Lists Items List, select the Items button and select New Select Discount in the Type dropdown box On your invoice, add a line for your item, a line for your allowance, and a line for your subtotal. If you have multiple items, you might want to add a space in between groups.
