For all of you like me who own (or owned) a Soundblaster Audigy / Live ZS hardware PCI card, alas considered obsolete as Creative does not support it and especially 64bit anymore. It still is one of the best sounding soundfont and general MIDI PCI cards, and a quick direct setup in BIAB is easily made and makes it shoot fast without shopping for the sounds each time you start a new project with most softsynths.

I too was very pleased with my Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro with both PCI card and breakout box. I was equally disappointed when it wouldn't run on my 64-bit Win 7 DAW.
I keep my old DAW, a now 14-year-old self-built PC with an AMD Celeron-equivalent CPU that won't even go online any more. (It freezes.) But it will still run Reason 3 and Nuendo 1.6, which work well together when I need it. In my case an SB Audigy 2 ZS with breakout box containing mic input, and headphones out plus optical SPDIF. I used the audio drivers only, not all the extra stuff for EQ etc. BTW the firewire busses also worked OK.
Alas i took the card out now since i bought a firewire focusrite audio interface, and besides needed the PCI slot. For years my SB worked fine along a M-Audio Delta 1010 system, and i still used it for a while running 64 bit windows 7 and cubase 64bit.
My guess is that the same audio drivers at least work with the SB Platinum ZS version. Don't expect all the other Creative software add-ons to be compatible though; a friend did some experimenting there saying he just used the 64bit drivers only after that, i never needed them any way. Selecting the correct system in the boxes below should filter out the non working ones i guess.
